Bad Things Happen While You Sit on the Sidelines

I know we are all busy with our lives, but this is a crucial time in our country. A time like no other.

While we went about our lives, we ignored what the government was doing. And now we have an unprecendented (where have I heard that word before) mess to clean up.

But it's not just about getting out the vote on November 2nd. It's making sure that we put ourselves in a position so that this can never happen again!

Yes, the sleeping giant has been woken, but he can't go to sleep on the job ever again.

How do we everyday citizens prevent history from repeating itself?

We become informed, engaged and involved!

We've become informed by attending Tea Party meetings and keeping up on all that Fox News has to report. We've become engaged by talking to our family and friends about the current issues facing our country. Now we must enact the third phase and Get Involved!

Getting Involved means attending your town council meetings, school board meetings and working to get elected or written in on County Committee. By having our eyes and ears in these places, laws can't be passed without our knowlege or our opposition. Remember, all politics are local and your influence is greatest on the local level.

We can't afford to sit on the sidelines any longer. If we do, we won't have a United States of America even worth preserving or protecting.

Let's all make a pledge to Get Involved in local politics and have our point of view represented so this part of our history will never happen again!
